This is sometimes a fun one to get your kids to do “CHORES” I try to keep the chores to a minimum and depending on the ages of my boys i think my expectations of the kids is not too much to ask. (but if you to were ask them they would say its just not fair)
Mason my 5 year old he likes to help with what ever he can, which is good as he is at the age where chores are fun. Mason has taken an interest in doing the dishes. So when he asks I let him do the breakfast dishes, yes he can make a big mess but he is so proud of himself once they are done.
He doesnt do a perfect job and when he is not around I will re wash them, but he feels so grown up being able to help. Mason also likes to help with the clothes washing. Problem is he brings my washing in 10 minutes after I have hung it out. So now I tell him when it is time if he would like to help me I will call him to help bring the washing in.
Masons set chores is he pulls his sheets up on his bed and has to put his toys away before he goes to bed. Not to much to ask.
Kaylum my nearly 13 year old, this is a different story. With Kaylum the chores are not to hard. He has to keep his room clean, wash the dishes at night, and put his clothes in the wash basket. And once in a while when i’m flat out put the rubbish in the bin. He gets pocket money for his chores if they are all done everyday. Just like a job, if you dont work you dont get paid.
In my pocket money section I will explain how I pay Kaylum and Mason.
I will also been adding in extra pages so people can comment and leave there ideas as well on the website.

My first game I recommend to parents is called Reading Eggs. Mason who is 5 has just started to use this application for about a week and is now able to recognize 3 letter words like cat, rat, mat and fat. He is able to put 4 words that have been rearranged to make a sentence. Reading eggs is a free trial for 6 weeks then it has a low cost to purchase. I like the idea of a trial to see how your children will enjoy the program.
